Annalise Real Bride: Cass & Dave

Planning your wedding can be stressful and while you may have a cream to ward the wrinkles away and a loving fiancé to keep bridal breakdowns at bay, wouldn’t it be nice to hear from a bride just like you? A bride that has dealt with the same vendors and knows the Richmond wedding industry well… yeah we thought that might get your attention.

Meet Cassandra, the sweetest soul and a dear #AnnaliseRealBride. Cass and Dave said ‘I do’ in August of last year and while it’s been almost a year since their nuptials, the pressure points of planning a wedding are still very familiar. Like most brides, she struggled to have that ‘this is my dress’ moment especially in our sample gown. Why are we sharing this? Because it’s normal! When we asked Cass at what moment she really knew her dress was the one she wanted to get married in she said, “It was actually really hard for me to envision my final dress until it arrived in the shop, because the sample had long sleeves and we removed those to make it a sleeveless/tank style dress. So it wasn’t until my actual dress arrived that I had that moment of ‘This is PERFECT’”.

So there you have it, not every moment in your gown is going to be happy tears and fairy dust, sometimes it takes some pondering and a lot of envisioning before that gut feeling comes into play. Be patient my friends! Speaking of patience… Cass had to have a lot of it to nail down not only her look, but that of the wedding party as well. “I spent a lot of time making sure that the groomsmen and bridesmaids ensembles came together well and complemented each other. We must have ordered 20 different light blue ties and socks online to try before we found the right ones!” Finding the right wedding party garments can be stressful, especially when color matching is a must. There is a perfect garment out there, so don’t fret if you haven’t found it just yet. To see the stunning colors she’s referring to check out their wedding photo gallery below!

Colors weren’t the only amazing accent, their venue, Upper Shirley Vineyards, perfectly complimented her bridal style. While we always encourage brides to go with a dress that feels like them and not to let their venue weigh too heavily on their decision it was amazing to hear Cass’s thoughts on her bridal look/venue. “The style of the dress felt classic, but with a bit of a modern flair, which is exactly how I would describe our venue too.” Scroll to see this gorgeous bride and the wedding worries turned stunning details!
