#AnnaliseRealBride, Nicole, described her timeless wedding in Georgia and South Carolina as “classic old-world meets laidback lowcountry living”.
Nicole and Rob were married at the stunning Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist in the city center of Savannah, Georgia. Which was then perfectly balanced out by their charming outdoor reception at the Coastal Salt Marshes of Bluffton, South Carolina at Oldfield River Club.
There were so many special details throughout the night. “Being pronounced husband and wife by Father Schrek” is one moment Nicole will never forget.
Working through the “rigorous process to be deemed suitable for marriage in the Catholic Church”, Nicole shares, “to date, it is one of our biggest accomplishments we succeeded in together.”
Made With Love’s ‘Archie’ Wedding Dress
We love when our brides send us their wedding Pinterest boards, which is exactly what Nicole did. So we already had Archie by Made With Love pulled and ready for her when she arrived.
Instantly the “simple elegance of the crepe” caught Nicole’s attention. When she tried it on she loved that this timeless wedding dress really “focused on the wearer rather than busy details such as lace, buttons, sparkles, etc”. Nicole truly glowed in this Made With Love wedding dress!
Tented Wedding Reception at Oldfield River Club
After their church wedding ceremony, they arrived at the stunning reception at the Oldfield River Club. Their reception space was decorated beautifully with a covered white tent and surrounded by greenery and a view of the water. Their simple and elegant wedding decor complimented her dress perfectly.
Romantic Boat Wedding Exit
Nicole and Rob ended the night in style, “hands intertwined, on a boat beneath a blanket of stars.” We can’t think of a more perfect way to end the night!
Planning a Timeless Wedding in Georgia and South Carolina
All of these special moments were captured by their amazing photographer, Laura Anne Watson. As many of our brides have said before, the photographer was their most well-spent splurge!
Nicole said, “I knew I could trust her to capture not only the beautiful pictures, but the emotions and feelings of the day.” “ This is definitely true, you can feel the love and beauty of this couple through these stunning photos.
It’s important to make your wedding really reflect you as a couple. Nicole’s advice for this would be to, “Trust in your decisions as a couple wholeheartedly. Lean into your personal preferences and style to create a day that will truly reflect your personality as a couple”.
Leave out the unsolicited advice and opinions, as it’s just noise that confuses the authentication of your day.” It may be hard to ignore the opinions of others, but try to remember that this day is about you and your significant other. Those around you are there to love and support you both.
One-Year Wedding Anniversary
Nicole and Rob just celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary this May. We asked Nicole for her advice for one year of marriage. She said, “Don’t hesitate to start your happily ever after!”
They welcomed their first baby girl just 9 months after their wedding and couldn’t be happier with starting their little family!
