Modern Wedding in Richmond, Virginia
From the celebrations, to the wedding outfits, and bridal photos, this modern wedding in Richmond, Virginia had the most immaculate vibes!
We asked #AnnaliseRealBride Halle to describe her wedding in five words and she said, “Modern, timeless, personal, chic, and US”!
It was so important to Halle to have the whole wedding from start to finish really just feel like them as a couple.
Starting with the rehearsal dinner at Blue Bee Cider, they wanted a pop of color for the decor and went with colors of linens, blues, and neutral hues. All of their guests came dressed accordingly!
This night really felt like them and was basically a big wedding pizza party with all of their closest friends and family thanks to Fifty One Pizza!
Wedding Accommodations at Quirk Hotel in Richmond, Virginia
The night before, the whole bridal party stayed at the Quirk hotel for a little “girls night” before the big day!
Everything about this was a vibe. Halle said it was so perfect to have everyone in the same place. She enjoyed getting ready together in the bridal suite the next morning!
Common House Wedding Venue in Richmond, Virginia
In the morning they all headed over to their dream wedding venue, Common House, for the ceremony.
Common House was the perfect venue for their minimal wedding, the decor speaks for itself. Halle loved having the indoor and outdoor space for her guests. They had to do very little to elevate this space.
Halle and Dashon’s black, white, and champagne wedding colors complimented the airy space beautifully. The wedding food was amazing and the venue even let the couple have custom wedding drinks!
Wedding After Party in Downtown Richmond
For the after party they went to Siné’s Irish Pub. Siné, located in Downtown Richmond, is the first bar they went to when they met. Hosting an after party there was the perfect full circle moment.
As Halle wanted, the wedding truly felt like them as a couple.
One thing that they really loved was their wedding DJ, Anthony Bryant. “We wanted it to be a PARTY and be music we love so at one point my husband asked him to just play Drake and he did just that!”
Wedding Planning From a Photographer’s Perspective
Halle, who is a local wedding photographer in Richmond, Virginia, had much more of an advantage when it came to planning her wedding.
The only thing she had a hard time with was choosing the dress. Halle said that she originally didn’t think her dress was the one, but as soon as she put it on she was shocked by how much she loved it.
Alyssa Kristin Bridal at Annalise Bridal Boutique
“I’m horrible at making commitments so I think I had 4 or 5 more appointments before I decided!! I always kept coming back to the same dress – so at my final appointment I knew that’s the one I had to go with!”, and it was absolutely perfect.
‘Vivian’ by Alyssa Kristin wedding dress truly captured the theme of her wedding being modern & timeless!
Best Wedding Planning Advice
Some advice Halle has for brides planning their wedding right now would be “to take it alllll in!”
Halle adds, “Take a moment or two and really soak it all up. This is such a once in a lifetime thing and it’s all your favorite people there because they love you! It goes by so fast so just take a step back and admire every little detail that went into planning your day!”.
