We are excited to be starting a new series “Annalise Brides: Life After “I Do” here on our blog and social media pages. A bittersweet part of being in the bridal/wedding industry is once our brides walk out the door after their dress pick-up, other than seeing wedding photos, we don’t often get to connect with them again! We love being a part of our brides special day, hearing about their relationship and all the exciting things that lead up to wedding day. It only felt right to find a way to continue to keep in touch!
With our new series, “Annalise Brides: Life After “I Do” we will get the opportunity to talk with our past brides, listen to fun life updates, and hear what advice they would give our current Annalise brides.
Wedding at Hollyfield Manor in Manquin, VA
Our very first feature is Annalise bride Mallory! Mallory married her husband Chris on a beautiful November day in 2019 at the Hollyfield Manor here in Virginia. When asked what her favorite memory was she said “My favorite wedding day memory was our first look. I was SO against it but my husband really thought it would be a good idea. We weighed the pros and cons and decided “let’s do it!” Looking back, it was the best decision that we made. I was so nervous to walk down the aisle. The second I saw my husband standing there with his back towards me before our first look, every ounce of nerves left my body. We were able to do a first look with just us two and then spent the hour prior to our wedding with our bridal party and family! It was so much fun!”
Finding The Perfect Dress
Mallory wore ‘Stevie’ by Made With Love Bridal with the matching ‘Stevie’ Veil. “My favorite part of my wedding dress was hands down the lace detail. I knew that I wanted a timeless wedding dress and the lace on my dress was a perfect combination of timeless with a modern twist. The second I saw it, I knew I had to have it! (Little secret: Emily actually picked out my dress!) I tried on so many and was almost finished with my bridal appointment and she said she thought she had the perfect one and she was SO RIGHT!!) My second favorite part of my dress was my cathedral veil that matched the lace on my dress!”
Life After “I Do”
Mallory and Chris will be celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary this week! “Wow, 5 years have come and gone so quickly! My husband and I have two sweet babies now. Our son, Benny, will be 3 in January and our daughter, Caroline, is 4 months old”
Advice for Future Brides Saying “Yes To The Dress”
“There will be a lot of opinions thrown around from family, friends, vendors, etc! It’s your wedding day so make it the one you’ve been dreaming about for so long! I promise you’ll be so thankful you did when you look back at pictures and think “that’s exactly how I pictured it!”
Thank you Mallory for taking the time to reconnect with us! Wishing you and your family all the continued joy as you enter your 6th year of marriage!
