Take a look into this classic and traditional wedding in the heart of Richmond. An #AnnaliseRealBride who is very near and dear to our hearts! Emily was one of our first ever employees and became a bride herself in 2021. Being a bride and a consultant at the same time was so special, “I was able to bond with so many other brides experiencing postponing their weddings due to Covid-19. A few I have made friendships with and still talk with to this day!”
DRESS SHOPPING AS A CONSULTANT
Emily said that wedding dress shopping at Annalise Bridal “was a very full circle moment”. Before starting to shop for gowns, she saw the Walton dress by Anne Barge on their website and immediately sent it to our owner, Lindsey, to ask about borrowing it for her appointment. “It was the very first dress I tried on” and after taking a few weeks to think, she tried it again and decided it was the one! She just loved the lace off the shoulder look, and it went perfectly with her classic and timless theme!
Being a consultant, Emily couldn’t wait to be an Annalise Bride! The one thing she would change was having such a large group with her at her appointment. “While I love my bridesmaids and they are my absolute best friends, I did end up feeling overwhelmed during the appointment with so many people watching me. I should have known better as a bridal consultant myself but got caught up in the excitement! If I could go back in time I would only shop with my mom and maid of honor.”
A touching and traditional Ceremony at The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart
One of Emily’s favorite moments from her big day was doing a “first touch” with her husband, Kyle. Although she wanted to get photos in the church before the ceremony, “Kyle seeing me for the first time walking down the aisle was super important to him. Which I love and think is special!” So they did a first touch instead, where they exchanged personal vows while standing back to back in the church. “It was a beautiful moment and a great feeling to connect with each other prior to the ceremony.”
The ceremony was at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. She wanted her wedding to feel classic, traditional, timeless, and elegant. Her dress, ceremony and photos were the epitome of timeless and classic! She is so glad she splurged on the videographer, “photos are important and so special but the moments my videographer was able to capture are priceless. From my first touch with Kyle to my moms welcome speech, I’ll forever be thankful to have those moments recorded.”
Classic Wedding Reception at the Willow Oaks Country Club
Their reception was at the Willow Oaks Country Club where they had a fun filled evening with friends and family. A special moment for Emily was her first dance with her mom. “Weddings are a beautiful occasion but can also bring up a lot of emotions for brides and their families in different ways. Many people like myself don’t have the traditional family dynamics which can cause anxiety over certain traditions surrounding wedding days. I’m so glad I decided to share that special moment with my mom and have our own mother daughter dance. She has been my best friend for 27 years and I’m grateful I was able to honor our close bond during that moment.”
Life After the Wedding
We love keeping up with Emily and her sweet little growing family! This month is her 2 year anniversary so we asked her how married life has been. “We had our first daughter before our 1st anniversary and are now expecting a boy in October! Almost 2 babies in 2 years! I’m grateful to be building a beautiful life with Kyle and excited to see where we are in another few years. It’s not always easy but having a supportive partner and friend in a husband makes the hard times much better!” Some of you may know her from her local business, Pop Clink Events, which keeps her quite busy!
We are so happy to be wishing Our #AnnaliseRealBride Emily and her husband Kyle a Happy 2 Year Anniversary!
